Great dog food
Although I can’t really read the taste, my dog loves this food! Golden doodles are notorious for sensitive stomach, so I decided to start her off on adult food with this flavor. Two vets plus many people on Facebook pages recommend Purina pro plan. It looks like it has all good ingredients and I trust Purina.

Great for dogs with DCM
This is one of the recommended foods to feed a dog with DCM. My picky dog loves it!

Helps When my dog has Stomach Problems
I bought this because my Siberian husky eats anything and everything and always has stomach problems. I purchased a prescription bag from the vet and it was so expensive and she seemed to be going through it fast. I could not fathom once again paying almost $90 for a bag of food my dog hated and I had to force her to eat. I thought maybe I would try this since she eats Purina Pro Plan Performance 30/20. She hates this too. I have to force her to eat it. I am guessing it’s because she is a husky and is boujie. We went through I dont know how many flavors of food until we found one she will actually eat.The only reason for 4 stars is because she hates it and won’t eat it so I am now out $20.

Dogs are happy
My dogs love this food. Given the gigantic price increase during the pandemic, this was a good price compared to what I could find locally. The packaging was awesome and it arrived on time. Happy dogs and wagging tails!

My dog is satisfied
It hasn’t been quite a month yet, but my dog loves the flavor and gobbles it down. He’s had the chicken and the beef flavor of this food over the past couple years. There was more of a break in period for this one compared to the other two. He had bad gas and smellier stools for the first couple weeks. I purchased it for his eye and skin allergies. His eyes don’t seem to be as watery with less tear stains. He is still licking his paws, which I hope this food will eliminate the irritation causing this. I’m glad he likes it, but it is expensive. I don’t mind paying it if the food can help with the issues mentioned.

GREAT FOR SKIN/TUMMY ISSUES FOR BIG&SMALL DOGS
This food helped get the fur grown back on my medium sized lab mix Bayley. She would itch her skin a lot, have ALOT of dandruff flakes, and she would bite near her behind on each side and eventually the hair would be gone and she would be left with patches. This food alone cured ALL those issues! We then got a small dog and she would puke up every now and then and was very underweight, we got her from the pound. She’s gained all the weight she needed too and no longer has any throw ups! Their coats are beautiful and shiny and they are nice and healthy and happy! You never realize how important a diet is. 20/10 recommend this food! You won’t regret it. ♥️

Thankful for a senior version
I’m so thankful they came out with a senior version of the Sensitive Stomach Salmon and Rice! My female pit mix has had tummy issues since she was ~5 (I.e. bloating, gurgling, lack of appetite, diarrhea). We switched her food to this per the vet’s recommendation and added an extra probiotic supplement. It made a world of difference. I’ve been concerned she wasn’t getting the additional benefits of a senior blend, but wasn’t going to change from the food that worked for her GI issues. Now she can have both! Thank you!

HELPED MY FRENCHIE WITH ALLERGIES!
I wanted to wait a little while before writing this review to see if it was really going to help or not.My French Bulldog Maelee had been suffering from food allergies for the past couple years. We had went to the vet numerous times and she had to be given antibiotics and ear drops that she had to take on a weekly basis for maintenance to keep ear infections from returning. I did some research on my own, to figure out that recurring ear infections are often a sign of food allergies or intolerance. I switched her food a couple times, trying to steer away from Chicken and just change the protein and I didn’t see a change until I switched to this food. Since this wasn’t a typical limited ingredient diet, rather a specialty diet I thought it was worth a shot it being a little bit cheaper than some of the other options but quiet a bit more expensive than the Purina Beneful or Purina One SmartBlend.I had initially started out with Beneful then changed to Purina one Smartblend with chicken then switching to lamb and it was with those dog foods she was having the allergic reactions to.She would shake her head, scratch her ears, bite her feet, and rub against the furniture all the time like she was so miserable. She would scratch scabs in her ears and it absolutely broke my heart, I can’t take that!! I knew I had to do something and not let her suffer, she is my baby. The vet didn’t mention allergies after the few times we kept taking her back for ear infections, but I’m a responsible pet owner and did the research myself to figure out the cause. (No offense to our vet he’s a wonderful doctor) If your dog is suffering from allergies this food is a really good choice and worth a try. While it may be a little pricey it is well worth the reward in your dog will be a lot happier and healthier.Since switching to this food, she is no longer itching, biting her feet and we have weaned off of the maintenance ear drops from the vet even. I couldn’t be happier~! The quality of life when a dog has allergies has to be absolutely miserable. I was determined to keep switching, paying any amount of money to get my dog back to normal. We also tried the Zippy Paws Aller-Immune chews right around the same time we switched to this dog food, and I’m still giving her those as well. Some of the other reviewers said there were bugs in this dog food. There were no bugs in our bag of dog food and Salmon is the first ingredient. Reading the list of ingredients is a lot better compared to some of the other dog food brands in this category.I couldn’t recommend this dog food enough, and I’ll continue to dish the money out each month to give it to my dog if that means she doesn’t have to suffer from itchy skin and ear infections. If your on the fence about buying this because of all the negative reviews regarding bugs, I inspected my bag thoroughly and there were NO BUGS! Also Purina has very good quality control and I am loyal to this brand.**UPDATE** 09/27/2022My Frenchie has had to go back to the maintenance ear drops from the vet. It’s luckily just a call in prescription no longer requiring an exam every time but she does have to take them again. I don’t think it’s anything to do with her diet anymore rather environmental allergies on top of the protein sensitivity. This food is still working great for her. When the ear infection returned we decided to switch to Hills prescription diet d/d salmon formula, buying it from our local vet and was a lot more expensive than this food. We kept her on that for months but no change in her ears so we switched back to this. I’m still happy with this food and know it’s made her allergies a lot better. There’s just unfortunately not much you can do for environmental allergies besides allergy medicine to help from the vet. We limit her treats and try to stick with single ingredient freeze dried salmon. She’s my life and I would do anything for her. Hope this helps other dogs with food sensitivities feel better too!!If you find my review helpful please click the helpful button below, as I wrote this in hopes it would help at least one person!

My dogs love it…Coat looks amazing!
I have literally tried almost every food all the creatures top-quality ingredients. I was doing a limited ingredient diet that was grain free and my vet told me to stop doing grain free because it can cause heart conditions. That is when I switched over to this food and man what a difference no more skin, allergies their coats in for look amazing and they absolutely devour it very very happy with this purchase.

Food is fine never arrives in time with Amazon
No issues with the food itself but Amazon has been 5-7 days late on food twice now, requiring me to spend additional money inbetween so I did cancel. Suggest going to store or ordering from a pet friendly site

My pet has tried 6 other dog food and Purina salmon sensitive stomach is the best one yet. I will stick with Purina products. I cannot vouch for the taste but it smells good.

My chicken allergic dog loves the lamb version.
My dog used to eat chicken flavored dog food as a puppy but he started losing hair in patches and also skin on his ear edges got dry and scaly. Turned out he was allergic to chicken. We switched to Purina Lamb sensitive skin and stomach and the symptoms went away fast.

My Yorkie loves it and so far no itching and biting
My Yorkie has struggled with food allergies for years. I had to laugh because I filled his bowl full saying I wonder if he’ll eat this. I got busy came back in the room and he’d eaten it all. He generally grazes but he loves it. I’ve tried many products. Fresh pet worked well for awhile. He recently started having issues with it. Mainly, the itching and chewing off hair. The benedril, oatmeal baths and hot spot products weren’t working. I found apple cider vinegar with water helped significantly with the itching. So far, it’s looking good for my sweet boy. He’s had no gas either.

My bulldog loves this. She whines a lot about many things but drools, literally, all over the place when it’s Purina time. It was also vet recommended.

Seems to work pretty well
Price is high but everything is now days and my dog has to have sensitive skin food. It is hard because it seems they get a version of this then turn it into another but she has far less skin problems now

I have a 5 year old Shih Tzu who has itchy paws and scratches like crazy. I have gotten him injections. Given him benadryl, had him checked for fleas and nothing had yielded results. The vet said he is probably allergic to poultry so suggested this food. My dog is very spoiled and picky but I have noticed he doesn’t itch as much so I believe it works.

An acquired taste…
I really took a chance on Purina and I’m so glad that I did. This food is fresh and has just the right amount of crunch. It starts with a floral zing but finishes with just the right amount of spice. I find that it pairs well with leafy greens or ancient grains (but satisfies on its own when I’m in a hurry). Look forward to firm stools and clear skin!

bad breath – woof
My dog is allergic to chicken, so has to eat salmon. He grew up on Science Diet senstive stomach, but supply chain issues caused me to find an alternative. This is a good value, but it gives my dog incredible bad breath. So bad, I only made it through half a 40 lb bag before having to switch.

Great for digestive health
So happy I found this exact mixture and product. It has been the only food to correct my Boxer’s digestive health. No more throwing up bile, no more soft poop or diarrhea! Coat is back to being soft and shiny.I’m not happy it’s so EXPENSIVE!

Dogs liked the food but it didn’t do anything for “Sensitive”
We have 2 rescues. The older has no problems and eats anything. The younger eats anything but has terrible breath that is not teeth-related; it’s his gut. He also has an odor and sometimes itchy skin..so he’s the one we got the “sensitive” for. After months of feeding this; no change. So, although they like it, we continue on with our search for something to help his sensitivity. If it weren’t so expensive, we’d consider continuing it if we weren’t finding anything that helps his gut health.

Dog kinda likes it
Usually get the regular Purina pro one but hit this because she has been itchy lately. She doesn’t eat it as well but she still eats it eventually

Helped my dogs skin SO MUCH!
I have an American Staffordshire Terrier named Ziggy who is the sweetest dog ever. It pained me to see his skin with bumps and raw areas where he’d scratched himself to bleeding. We were feeding him a decent quality food and tried different things to alleviate his issues. Nothing worked and daily Apoquel was not a solution I wanted to settle for. My step-daughter is a veterinarian and she suggested we try this food from Purina and what a game changer!! He loves it’s, it smells way better than most of the others, and his skin cleared up within a week! He’s so much more comfortable now. Stopped the constant paw licking, too. Now I’m having it auto- shipped so he’ll always have this as his main diet. 5 stars and 5 paws up!!

Great for dogs with sensitivities
Our blue pit has allergies/sensitivity to most foods. We have tried everything, most expensive to cheap. This is the only food that bothers her the least. I think more food flavor options would be nice as it seems She sometimes gets bored with it.

Even the cat fights to get some!
The dogs were tiring of the usual dry food we mix with their wet food at night and were leaving all of those little black pellets all over the floor. We got tired of sweeping them up plus those black pellets were the vitamins and good stuff for the dogs. well, if they were not eating the healthy part, that defeated the purpose. I looked around on the interwebs and found this. It sounded good to me and since the dogs also love fish I thought it would be good for them. They also get wet food, but I worry about too much salmon for them. That is my only concern. That and the dogs having to soo the cat away instead of the opposite situation. 🙂

This is the only food my dog will eat, but the last bag was spoiled.
I’ve been feeding my dog this food for about 3 years. He developed some allergies when he was a puppy and this was what the vet recommended, and it was very helpful until the last bag I ordered from Amazon. My dog would not eat it. He went a day and a half without eating rather than touch it. I thought he might just be fussy so I even tried mixing his favorite foods with it and he wouldn’t go near it. I couldn’t check the date on the bag, because I decant it into a tub when it arrives. I tried a bag from a different retailer and had no issues, and in comparison I did notice that the texture and color was off on the food from Amazon. Not sure if this is a general quality issue or an issue with this specific retailer, but I won’t risk it.

My dog hasn’t missed a meal

Works great for my little dog!
Our little dog has had issues with his skin for the last 4 years. We have tried a great amount of different brands & forms of food for him. So far this food, Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach has worked good. He still has a slight itch, but it’s not as bad as it was. Will continue to use this brand but may switch to canned. Very pleased so far!

My dogs coat is just so soft
My dog was getting skin rashes and then someone recommended this to me, their dog had the same issues. Her skin and coat are just so soft and no more rashes and this is after the first bag. It took a few weeks for her to like it, yes I slowly mixed it in with the old stuff, but she loves it now and the size is small which is perfect for my 14lb Jack Russell Terrier.

Cleared up Skin Allergies
We were suggested this food by our Vet to help with our dogs skin issues. She would frequently get hot spot which would spread all over her body. We would get Cytopoint shots once a month to help relieve this allergic reaction which did help significantly but at a cost of a couple hundred dollars a month. So we tried this food in order to help with her allergies instead of the Cytopoint. She has been eating this for a month and had no allergy issues. We even brought her to the vet for a check-up and they were even excited with how good her skin looked. I highly suggest this food!

Improved my Labrador’s life tremendously!
Athena (my lab) suffered from bad gas, loose stools, and would routinely vomit. Each food I tried she never really seemed to care for and may not touch it all day until she got really hungry. The day I switched to this there was almost an immediate improvement. She eats every bit as soon as I feed her, no more gas, no more loose stools, and no more vomit. This food has made her life and my life much more happy.
