A receding hair line or widow’s peak

Hereditary hair loss typically begins with receding of the hairline and thinning of the hair. The best way to tell if your hair has receded is to find a photo of yourself from a year ago and compare.

HOW REGAINE WORKS

ABOUT MINOXIDIL

The active ingredient in Regaine is minoxidil, the only over-the-counter active ingredient clinically proven to help stop and even reverse hereditary hair loss.

Those who are younger, have been losing hair for a short period of time or have a small area of baldness are likely to experience the best results with Regaine.

It works by increasing the blood flow to the hair follicles and increasing follicular size and hair shaft diameter, stimulating and prolonging hair growth.

10 reviews for Regaine for Men Hair Loss & Hair Growth Scalp Foam Treatment with Minoxidil, 3 Month Supply,73 ml (Pack of 3)

  1. Goldcoco

Quick squirt and done. Much prefer the foam over the liquid, as there’s less of a chance for it to run down your face if you’re a bit tired/slow. The foam also seems less irritating on the scalp. Winner. Growth seems slower with the foam that the liquid, but maybe that’s because it’s for men only…

  2. T4lle5t

Those suffering with a bit of loss ‘up top’ should jump on this product immedaitely. It does seem to stop baldness in it’s tracks after about 2 months. The downsides are once you start using it, you cannot stop which is expensive, but this seems to be the only product that works – or at least for me. Does have a chemical smell and leaves hair slightly sticky.

  3. Chunky Le Funga

So the first photo is me in April 2020 and the 2nd photo is my in June 2022.As you can see Regaine has worked wonders for me. It wasn’t an initial success and thankfully I didn’t experience any side effects, at no point did any of my hair fall out first. My hair regrowth was just a slow process but now I’ve actually forgotten how bad my hair was until I just now looked at my old photo. Took about 6 months before I personally noticed a change, though at about the 3 month stage people were telling me my hair was looking better. The bottle recommends using it twice a day and using the cap to measure the amount.Realistically with my lifestyle I knew that wasn’t going to happen. I used the cap method intially at the start but figured out a much better method. What I do it apply about 1 cap amount, directly from the bottle to my weak hair areas. This is WAY easier than filling the cap, putting in on your hands and then trying to apply to certain areas.Monday to Friday, I have a shower, towel dry my hair a bit, and whilst my hair is still a bit damp, that’s when I apply the foam directly to me scalp. Regaine actually acts like kind of a mousse and gives your hair a certain stylish texture to it, which I like.As I’m rarely at home for weekends I don’t usually apply it as I can’t be bothered to travel with my Regaine. And as you can see it works fine if you use it 5 consistent days a week. Don’t become obsessed with your regaine. If you go away on holiday and it’s hand luggage only, your hair will be fine, it won’t fall out, you can leave the bottle at home. Check-in luggage? Sure take it with you.Cost wise bottle of Regaine wildy fluctuate. And I mean wildly. Some days I’ve see it hit 90 quid and then 2 days later it’s down to 31. In the last week only I’ve seen it hit 87 and 32! What I would advise is keep an eye on the pricing and when it goes under 33, buy a years supply. Then when you’re down to 3 months supply, again keep an eye on the pricing.Overall it’s a fantastic product if you use it 5 days a week. If you’re on the fence about using this product give it a try for 6 months, you won’t be sorry.

I have been using this product for 9 weeksI am a 5a on the Norwood scale so pretty bald and I am 29. Been bald for about 3 years.I will be honest and say I didn’t think this would work but for £50 why not.I tend to have completely shaven head but while using Regaine I have kept it at a number 1 in order to see if new hairs grow to the same length as my normal hair.First 2/3 weeks I didn’t notice anything. A little itchiness but nothing special. After that I have slowly noticed more and more little fuzzy blonde hairs growing. You need to look really closely but they were there and they didn’t use to be. I have also noticed more hair growing around my cheek bones which Is weird as I haven’t applied any there but not a big deal.At the 9 week mark now and I can see a lot of the blonde fuzzy hairs turning darker in colour. Majority are still very thin and hard to tell without looking closer but some are thick and dark. In honesty about 90% of the new hairs are thin and light but I think with time these will turn darker and stronger. I can see that slowly my crown is getting covered in these new hairsThe biggest noticeable difference happened after the 8 weeks. It went from a lot of blonde fuzzy hairs to slowly starting to see them turn dark.I have also started micro needling 2 weeks ago and have been using alpacin shampoo since the start. For anyone who is as bald as me I would recommend giving this a chance. £50 for three months is worth a shot. Take it from someone who was sceptical, I wish I had tried this when I started losing my hair.In terms of side effects, apart from a bit of itchiness in the first two weeks and facial hair around the cheek bone area I have had nothing else. People who take other medication such as finasteride get all kinds of side effects but this hasn’t changed my life at all.

As a woman with hair loss I have been using Re Gain for at least 12 month`s and it is working great. I am also using 2 other products (tablets and a serum).

  6. Ewan Gardner

Cheaper than anywhere else. Good product.Don’t forget, using this is a life-long commitment, and results don’t show until months down the line, so, stick with it!

  7. JM

    Decent product

  8. NRM786

At first I was sceptical as with every hair Loss product out there saying it does miracle wonders. I started lossing and thinning hair from the age of 25 and I started using this product since start of June 2019 and I’m 31 now. If only I used this product then, might have helped reduce the hair Loss. I have been using this product on a daily basis for just over 45 days now and I have to say the quality and thickness of my hair has improved slightly and my wife has also stated this aswell. She even mentioned that few new hairs have sprouted up here and there (This maybe due to Derma Rolling and using Hairmetto along with Minoxidil). But my goal is to maintain what I currently have so below is the regiment I am following. Keep in mind I am using other products alongside Rogain 5% Minoxidil.Wash:2-3 a week – Waterman’s Grow Me DHT blocker Shampoo2-3 a week Waterman’s Grow Me DHT blocker ConditionerTreatment:6 days a week x Hairmetto Serum in Morning before work and evening after work or gym.6 days a week x Regain 5% Minoxidil at Night before bedtime1 day a week x 0.5mm Derma Rolling1 day a week x Hairmetto Pumpkin Seed OilDaily Supplements:Vitamin D 2000 mgFish Oil 1000 mgBiotin 1000 mgMultivitaminsAlso keep in mind all the products listed above are all natural including Hairmetto products so no side effects from them, the only product which is not natural is the Rogain 5% Minoxidil. Also keep in mind everyones body’s works differently so for some might work faster then others. And remember it’s good for hair with roots and the hair on the crown any other use this product is useless for you. It will not regrow hair where there is no hair follicles. If you have bald crown or head where there’s no hair follicle then maybe consider hair transplant as no products can work. You can try Derma Rolling though that may sprout some new hair follicles here and there.

Started using Regain, 5% Minoxidil men’s foam on 6th/Dec/20. I can’t believe my own eyes! I’m so grateful that it’s working, I have fuller hair on top, hair been thinning, falling out years, suddenly shocked as struggling to have comb over! Was prepared to give it 3 to 6 months. But! I’m lucky as can see difference after 2 1/2. (I Understand if hair follicles dead then it can’t bring back to live but if you catch before, then it can have an affect)I did a lot of reading on 2%5% Minoxidil (& rather than waste time and hair on caffeine) seemed the most effective way to go to me.I importantly spoke with my doctor re going bald! He did blood tests rule out diet etc, all negative. said there nothing for post menopause female pattern hair loss. Yes I’m a woman. I told him I read about & thinking to try minoxidil 5 %. I recommend you check against your medication, health with doc.He heard of it, said you will always have to use. (I aware of warnings re women for men’s,) but I personally decided as the active and non active ingredients exact Same I’ll use blue rather than lilac can, Only difference as a Female I use 1g 1/2 cap once day. Males use twice a day.) I have found they do a 5% for women now, but could only see 2% at time And advice was go for 5% if poss. And as the ingredients same.Other considerations that cause hair loss,I have had a lot stress for years, which has been lessening recently, I started hair vitamins with biotin & zinc etc at same time, I believe I Have hormone imbalance which prob increased after menopause, which effects hair. BUT IM CERTAIN My HAIR growth DOWN TO effect of MINOXIDIL, did notice my hair seem to not fall out like usual. It say you may loose more hair at beginning and need to give it time. I chose foam less chance irritant than the solution and less wet. I also wear gloves who wants hairy fingers! I been sticking to the prescribed dosage. Update – LAST PHOTO no 3 taken June 22 good head of hair!

  10. Taylor K.

Images are 6 months apart with application twice daily (morning and night) followed with finesteride 1mg every other day (ask a doctor if you’d like to use this).Hairs grown back considerably well and temples have also shown great progress.Recommend trial of this product to see if it works for you as it did me.BTW. Shedding in first 3 months is NORMAL. Hair gains come after shedding stops.
