60 reviews for Surge Protector Power Strip – 8 Widely Outlets with 4 USB Charging Ports, 3 Side Outlet Extender with 5Ft Braided Extension Cord, Flat Plug, Wall Mount, Desk USB Charging Station for Home Office ETL Electronics

  1. wiremanagement

    Almost Perfect!

This is a well built, attractive power strip. The top, widely spaced outlets address and accommodate the multiple transformers that are the modern way of powering our accessories. The top outlets are smartly placed so the wire tails coming off the transformers do not interfere with neighboring outlets. Having additional outlets placed on the sides of the box proved to be very handy for non-transformer ac plugs. The USB outlets (4) are very convenient although I must say that a modern day power strip is not to be taken seriously if it did not have them. The square footprint breaks away from the typical foot long / 3″ wide design but it works for my specific situation that I have right now. I would like to see them offer another model which addresses the foot long / 3″ wide footprint; I am confident it would be the same high quality build and fit. I welcome the cloth braided cord which is easy to straighten out so it lays neatly against the wall behind furnishings. I detest using a vinyl power cord (haven’t experienced plain rubber used in years) that has been wrapped up so tightly for shipping that it will not lay correctly on the floor. I mean, we buy extension cords and power strips to install our electronics in a neat manner, right? There is not a cord used in my house (TV, radio, lamp, Alexa, coffee pot, toaster, Bullet etc.) that is installed all curled up. I straighten each one before installing with a heat gun. I place as much of the coiled up cord in a large metal saucepan and use my heat gun to relax the cord and straighten it out (the metal pan contains the heat but prevents hot spots while warming the cord). I find if the product has gone through cost cutting via the bean counters of the manufacturer, the more likely the power cord suffers and ends up being cheap, stiff, vinyl. Here however the manufacturer realizes that the cord is an important element in the overall design and uses cloth covered braid. The internal wire insulation is of course some sort of vinyl / rubber blend to meet safety standards I am sure but it is flexible and can almost be entirely straightened out without warming. I have braided, cloth covered cords that are round and also flat as in this power strip. Either one works well but I prefer the round style which lays neater and coils better. This brings me to my one nit-pick. Even though my 5 star rating does not reveal it, I do not feel that my nit-pick should prevent someone from buying this otherwise well designed extension power strip. My nit-pic is about the power plug that goes into the wall outlet. It is the flat type (good) which hugs the wall enabling you to have that dresser tight up against the wall while avoiding any damage to the cord if a traditional “straight” plug was implemented. On this particular flat plug, the braided power cord comes down off the bottom of the plug at an angle and not straight down. It is angled to the right which is great if your extension box is to be placed to the right of the outlet but not so good if the box is placed to the left of the outlet. Having a flat type braided cord instead of a round braided cord, it presents a kink in the wire @ the plug location. It would be a welcomed improvement if the braided power cord came straight down from the plug and if they used a round versus flat braided cord. Hey! Not a big deal to most people but this is a review, right? So, there you have it. For most people, an extension cord is “just an extension cord – get over it”. But for those (like you reading this right now) are interested in knowing how a product is designed and performs, I hope I have described it to your satisfaction.

    Pretty Dang Good

Power Strip arrived in a compact box. Opened it up and plugged it in; the cord could have been 3 feet longer. Then, started plugging in my charger bases and USB cables. It is pretty dang good at having multiple devices plugged in with minimal tangles and confusion. My wife really likes it too. Summary: nice, well built compact device with multiple plug-in’s resulting in sweet organization of multiple charging cables. I would buy it again.

Solid, perfect layout and the cord is nearly indestructable

I have dozens of extenders that have proven to be cumbersome, unstable (towers, ye gods) untrustworthy combos of this, that and the other plugin types..most are in a box, unused. Every time I use an extention cord or a plug in extender I can hear my Father lecturing me about being safe with electricity..”you’re going to burn the place down!” This box is nicely weighted, low profile so it stays put, the cord is long-ish and heavy duty. It has a nice number and mix of plug in types but not too many. Perfect.

No 1 can buy just 1

Got 1 to put behind the television, for all the different shaped plugs and USB plugs. Now can plug everything into one place. Husband wanted 1 for computer and all his stuff. Ended up buying 3 more. The cord is thick and heavy, which is awesome, and plenty long enough for our needs. It’s ability to plug in on 3 different sides was perfect. I didn’t need 8 plugs simply but on the strip surge protector I has needed to plug things directly into wall outlets do to plug shapes.

    The perfect surge protector!

I was looking for a surge protector that had enough length to make it from behind my sectional to the front for charging my laptop and phone. This fit the bill! I love that it has USB ports for charging when you don’t have a wall charger, and the cord has a nice thick protection that doesn’t look ugly like the rest of my cords! It also stays put which I’m a big fan of.

  6. stpauley

    Compact, flexible

I had a straight line power strip and was unable to use all the outlets because of the shape of some. This square-shaped power strip allows the room to plug in unusual shapes. I was able to fit all the needed plugs into the strip. Cord is about 4 feet and flexible, which makes this easier to use than the usual stiff power strip cord. Very pleased with my purchase and probably will buy another in the near future.

  7. G. Tung

    Best cord I ever bought

The cord is pretty long and the spacing between the area where you plug in your electrical plug is perfect for plugs. I love the idea of the sides having an outlet also. If you have one of those big electrical plugs, you can plug it into the side instead of the top where the plug can take the space of two outlets.

  8. Valencia Garrett

Helps organize cords around bathroom sinks!

The only characteristic I am struggling with is the cord. I need to get it to loosen up and lay flat. Other than that, love this. We had sooo many cords in our bathroom. One outlet just wasn’t enough. I also did not like that most of the cords had to hang over the sink because of the way the countertop was configured. Makes bathroom look clean, neat and organized.

  9. Liz V

    Perfect for under my desk

I purchased this item to use under my desk. I have cords coming from all directions I needed something that had versatility. I love the fact that it has built-in USB outlets as well. I took some sticky Velcro strips and attached it to the foot of my desk, so it wouldn’t move around. It’s doing the job perfectly. The cord is also very thick and sturdy and I feel this item will last a while.

  10. JP

Great for our cross country trip

Bought it to keep my family’s devices in one place during our cross country move. The outlets are adequately spaced for the assorted devices we needed to plug in every time we stopped in hotels/family’s houses during our month long trip. The cord isn’t too stiff to maneuver it behind and around furniture. Loved it so much I’m keeping it for behind my nightstand!

  11. Amazon Customer

    Perfect for Cruising

This is perfect for taking on cruises and traveling in general.

  12. James

It does the job. Have used it for 2 weeks. Have not experienced a surge, so cannot attest to that. However, it does the charging job beautifully! I especially bought this because it allows for space for charging blocks, as there are options on the side of it. Has holes on the back so it can be mounted.

  13. Chris S.

    Perfect “Charging Station”

Compact and has plenty of USB and AC outlets

  14. Matthew Lentz

    Perfect for weird plugs

We all have those weird adapters that don’t fit any surge protector well. This thing is great and I was able to use every plug comfortably.

  15. AndreaJones

    Adequate for what I need

Has a good amount of outlets in it. Grandkids was fighting over plug for the phones and iPad. Well very well for them. Just wished it had a fast charge available

  16. Reni

    Good buy

Easy to pack. Convenient multiple outlet.

  17. Glen Carter

Outlet plug is at an angle not straight

Knocking off a star because the wall plug is at an angle rather than straight down like the picture. Otherwise perfect for what I needed.

  18. tjkolevtjkolev

    Good looks with shortcomings

Good:+ Looks nice.+ Plenty of sockets.+ Sockets are spaced wide enough to accept power bricks (the ones I have).+ Has USB ports for charging devices.+ Can be wall mounted, or secured with screws to any flat surface. Not so good:- Sockets are connected with wires. Bars/buses of sheet metal would be preferrable.- Wires are 16 gauge. That’s rated for 10, max 13 amps. The item claims 15 amps. That’s pushing it. And that’s the total for all devices that are plugged in.- Considering the above, a user replaceable fuse should’ve been built into the power strip.- The screw slots on the back are restrictive. The slide grove for the screw is narrower than the opening for the screw head. Using a screw with a head the size of the whole will go through, but won’t slide into the groove. One has to use a screw with a head with smaller size – one that can fit the groove. Not designed properly. The groove slot should just fit the neck of the screw, but on the inside the groove width should be as wide as the center opening, so a crew head that goes in there can slide to the side.OK power strip to use for low power devices. I would not plug in my range or table saw.

  19. j. Callicott

Hope it holds up. Perfect for us.

Like side plugs. We will not be plugging/unplugging devices for “years”. Most negative reviews refer to failure of the USB ports. We are using 3 and realize total USB output is 3.1A. We are using 6 plugs.(computer, screen, printer, 2 Google Nest devices, small wine cooler) Sure a lot better than a long strip. If USB ports fail – prepared to plug in multi-port USB device. Feature we like not found on similar devices is FLEXIBLE connection cord.

  20. Hono

Great charge station and surge protector for teenagers room

Kids are always loosing parents charging block! This allows them to bring device to the surge protector rather than take the block. Plugs for 120v on sides and tops allows many positions for placements

  21. AC12345

    Great product

Excellent for traveling. Compact, great cord length, and has plenty of options to charge or plug in several devices.

  22. Liam

    Saved my stuff

Went through 3 brief power outages in about 2 hours one night, saved my PC, tv, monitor, and speakers

  23. Desa

Can you have a favorite power strip?

Randomly bought one of these because it was on sale. I need a few extra plugs on my sit-stand desk. This was small, compact, and cute. I loved the design and multiple plug-in areas so I bought another one. The first one is mounted to the bottom of the sit-stand desk making it easy to use. The second one is mounted to my ikea cabinet which powers my robot vacuum and Alexa light strip. I will most likely buy one more when I finally upgrade my coffee bar. They are easy to mound with command strips.

    Excellent for home office use.

I’m using this in my home office and it is great for multiple items that need to be plugged in.

This unit acts as a hub to our electronic devices i our living room

    Space saver

Seems to change phones fairly quickly. Space saver. Would def recommend this purchase.

  27. Kimberly Horn

    Very good plug

This is a very good surge protector plugin at a great price. It replaced my old bar surge protector that the plugins we’re too close together

  28. Tim King

    Not just a cord

When I purchased this, I just wanted a plug in for my moms utilities. After receiving I seen it a USB’s for a phone etc. Definitely worth the price.

  29. A.G. Lindsay

Good solution to my art table area!

I’m slowly replacing my power strips and this came across as a good solution for my drafting area. It has more outlets than the old one and USBs as well which is great. I love the braided cord. Its much easier to work with than the old kind and the fact I a could get it in different lengths is icing on the cake!My only quibble is the plug. It seems only want to go in one way and that makes the cord go away from where I place the outlets. It’s round and just big enough that it blocks what I used to plug into the other outlet. I suppose if I was just plugging a lamp into the other outlet that’d be okay, but I can’t even plug in a second one of these into that outlet.Other than that, its great!

    More than enough slots

I needed something to plug in everything by my bed. More than enough slots to charge devices.

  31. Purr-fection

    Fulfills expectations.

Compact size with adequate number of well-spaced sockets and USB ports. So far, so good. There’s nothing to dislike about this product, as far as I can tell. Long cord, which I didn’t need, but its long length may be preferable to some buyers.

  32. DonnaP

Great for connecting several items when the plug is behind heavy furniture

I have multiple items to plug in behind a heavy console in my master bath. This allowed me to have a flat plug so furniture piece is close to wall. I used three attached 3M picture mounts to mount the piece to the wall between the cabinet and side wall. It is close to hidden from view, but with USB ports on the top, allows me to use multiple items (makeup mirror, Amazon Echo 5, eero mesh router, phone, tablet, etc).So far so good, and I don’t have to move the cabinet to replace something.

Clean up all your power and usb cords in 1 box

You get all the power spots of a power strip but they are spaced so you can use all of them from fat plugs like usb bases where you have to skip a plug and comes with 4 usb plugs where you don’t need a base. I had multiple power strips with adapters besides my bed now all you need is this 1 item.

Love the size of this and it is perfect for plugging in multiple things. I have it in my living room and my kids love the usb for their phones

  35. KConrad

With more and more things powering up by usb I’ve decided to upgrade a few of my old power strips. I’m happy with my purchase!!

  36. JDF

Much more useful than the regular strip style

This holds a lot of plugs and is smaller than the strips. The cord is flexible and fits better in small places. Definitely will purchase again. Seems like I always need a surge protector.

  37. The happy shopper

    Room for plugs

Smart plugs fit nicely, even good for amazon echo plugs ,cord length was just what I ordered, traveling wasn’t reason I bought

  38. ACD

    Helps save room

Larger then I expected but it’s great to use. Got one for my kitchen and does what I need. Getting another one for the entertainment center.

    Purchased for Craft Show Booth

My favorite things about this power strip are the cord and the small footprint. I’m planning to use it to run my LED lights in my craft show booth. I like it so much that I’ve started using it in my home office. I may have to buy a second one. The cord is super soft and flexible. I appreciate the flat plug too for tight spaces.

    Fantastic At What It Does

I’ve been replacing surge protectors throughout my house this month because they should be replaced after a certain number of years. And I like this one the best of those I bought. The plugs are well spaced for those of us who have those obnoxious power bricks for certain devices. I find the product extremely useful, and all the USB slots are super useful when you have as many devices that require a charge like me. The 5 foot card is also helpful.

Annoying green light doesn’t flash through.

The green light is bright. It doesn’t flash so it’s not tooo bad. I still covered it up with a piece of electrical tape. The outlets are spaced out so even the bulky cables will have space and not block the other outlets the cable is long enough to put on a shelf above a desk.It does what I need it to do with my fish- filter, heater, lights, air pumpAnd regular the stuff- surface pro charger, lamp, light strips, Alexabeing able to actually use all the outlets makes it well worth the 15 dollars.

    Awesome extension plug

I love this power strip. So often companies give you a USB cord with no box to plug into the world. This extension cord can be used for 2-3 prong plugs as well as USB. The cord is long enough to where you need it to to reach to. This one extension cord solves for 12 plugs.

Always in Need of More Plugs!

We have this neat dresser with a power strip built in but it is most certainly not enough plugs. This works great. We use the USB part the most but it works for all the gadgets and devices we need to plus in. It’s crazy how many there are!

  44. Laurice

THE PERFECT OUTLET STATION. The outlets on top are spaced apart for thicker plugs. Four USB outlets on the side, perfect spot for them. Then there’s two more outlets on each side that are spaced perfectly for thicker plugs. On and off is located at the bottom so no matter how you place the outlet station you will not accidentally hit the power switch. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I will definitely purchase a few more, you can’t beat the price

    So helpful

Why did I fight with older-style side-by-side plugs for so long? Now I can leave my table lamp and charging cords plugged in, and add my vacuum without rearranging everything!

    Best cord ever! 🙌🏽😃

This is the first time I purchased a extension cord like this and it is a game changer! There are plenty of ports to charge all my devices at once and it’s very durable perfect to take with you on trips and the cord is long to be able to use anywhere

Compact while providing a surplus of power options

I only had one two-plug outlet in bathroom, always switching plugs as needed. The power strip tucks away quite compactly, while I can now provide power to razor, trimmer, hair dryer, weather radio, tablet and wax melt warmer continuously. One of the best functional purchases I’ve ever made.

  48. JR

    Very convenient

We ised this for our Christmas inflatables main plug in. It was outside on the porch for about a month. It was nice to have the on/off switch.

    Great power strip

The cable is very flexible and not stiff at all which makes using it very convenient. At the same time, it keeps moving around on the wood floor. The variety of connection points and connector types supported is very nice and makes using it versatile

    Love it

Bought it for a older couple that had nothing on a surge protection. She lost everything to a large surge. She loved her computer.

  55. Jeff & Wendy S

    Great bargain

A nice power “strip” with many widely-placed plugs and USB charge ports. Quality is good. Packaging is good. Overall, a ver good buy.Just remember common safety: no matter how many plugs there are, the power capacity does not change (usually 15AMPs) Do not fill multiple plugs with high-energy appliances (anything that makes heat or cool – ACs, toasters, microwaves, blenders, etc.) But it should be fine using lots of outlets for stereo or computer accessories, LED lights, chargers, etc..
